Direction: The placement of the incense burner is important. Generally, it's best placed in the southeast (wealth position), northwest (benefactor position), or north (career position), depending on the specific fortune you wish to enhance. However, it's not advisable to place the incense burner directly in the south or west of the house; a slightly off-center position is acceptable.

Height: The height of the incense burner should be moderate, neither too high nor too low. Too high, and the energy dissipates; too low, and the energy stagnates. The ideal height is level with the homeowner's heart, creating the most harmonious energy field.

Orientation: The orientation of the incense burner is also crucial. The opening should face inwards, not towards doors or windows to prevent wealth from leaking out; it should also not face the toilet or kitchen to avoid unclean air contaminating the incense. Ideally, the incense burner on the altar should face outwards, from the living room towards the door. However, if this is not possible due to environmental constraints, it should face the main entrance, but maintain a certain distance from the door.

Environment: The incense burner should be placed in a quiet and clean place, and should not face the bed, dining table, etc. If conditions are limited and the incense burner is placed in the bedroom, then a yellow cloth curtain should be used to cover it when sleeping. The back of the incense burner should not be empty space, and the wall next to it should not be a toilet or kitchen. In addition, the incense burner should not be placed under a beam.
